Our fourth annual dog jog.  Our inaugural dog jog event in 2005
brought out over 100 families from throughout Metro Detroit.
Last year this event was an even bigger success, over 300 people
from throughout Metro Detroit, Ann Arbor, Flint, Port Huron, and
Illinois participated. With your support 2009 can be even more
successful in raising funds for the GUARDIANS FOR ANIMALS,
encouraging healthy living through exercise, promoting our local
businesses, and creating positive visibility for the City of Clawson.

Where is this event being held?
Clawson is located in the center of Birmingham, Royal Oak, and
Troy, about one mile west of I-75.  Clawson combines small town
amenities with convenient access to all of Metro Detroit’s big city
events.  Clawson City Park, in the heart of southeast Oakland
County, will host CLAWS & PAWS 2009 which will combine a 2
Mile Run/Dog Jog/Walk (10 a.m.) with a Pet Care Fair/Animal
Adoption (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.)  Runners, animal lovers, and kids are all
welcome to attend and participate.

Meet Angel
Because of the severe abuse from her former owner,
Angel's leg had to be amputated. She was named Angel
because of her amazing ability to forgive humans for
what was done to her. Angel's personality is so gentle
and loving that even in all her pre-surgery pain, she
wagged her tail and gave kisses to all who came near.
She is only 10 months old, and deserves to find a loving,
forever home. Angels has been chosen to be the lead
walk dog at this year's 2009 Claws Claws & Paws Walk!
Guardians for Animals is dedicated to helping rescues,
and sanctuaries save the lives of abandoned, abused,
and neglected animals. GFA helps dedicated; NO KILL
rescue groups receive much needed funds, supplies,
and help with placement of animals in their care.
